Everfield continues to expand its presence in the German-speaking region. As the second company in Austria, the food service specialist KOST, based in Graz, has partnered with Everfield, seeing this as a path to a successful future.
Founded in 2000 by Michael Cikerle and Richard Huß, KOST has evolved from a simple inventory management system into a complex software solution for large caterers, restaurateurs, and healthcare institutions, providing full transparency and efficiency throughout the entire supply chain of a kitchen.
KOST seamlessly handles all steps from ordering to serving, making them a key player in food catering in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This also contributes to the reduction of food waste.
Good basis for further growth
“KOST can cover a broader range of customer requirements in the catering sector. This creates a win-win situation for all parties, sharing a wealth of experience and continuing to grow in Europe,” says Sebastian Holler, who focuses on the Austrian market for Everfield. Holler is part of the DACH Acquisitions team at Everfield.
Through continuous development in areas such as sales, marketing, and product development, KOST is able to attract new customers.
“We are pursuing a vertical approach and have strengthened our food & hospitality presence with this acquisition,” adds his colleague, Oscar Koberling, Country Manager for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland at Everfield.
Customers will continue to be supported from Graz
Michael Cikerle, Richard Huß, and Michael Schroller will remain with the company as advisors. Sascha Beyer will take over the position of Managing Director and, as a long-standing manager of KOST, will continue to lead the company together with the existing staff.
“The efficient, transparent, and friendly transaction process has facilitated the company sale and set all the right conditions for a successful future,” emphasises Michael Cikerle.
Managing Director Sascha Beyer, has a clear goal for the company: “We want to support our customers in the usual way with all gastronomic services and do so in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.”
Additionally, KOST's subsidiary Paycaso offers solutions in the field of cashless payment systems. The company employs a total of 30 people.
Austrian market offers great potential
The Austrian market offers great potential with many hidden champions, especially through innovative and resilient software companies. Everfield remains committed to integrating strong companies into its ecosystem to achieve success together and promote sustainable growth.
The software companies will continue to operate in a decentralised manner, and can rely on the support of Everfield's specialists. “Founders and owners who care about the future of their company can be assured that they are placing their entrepreneurial legacy in good hands,” emphasises Holler.
