Everfield, a buy-and-grow investor in European B2B SaaS businesses, has acquired selly, a Berlin-based provider of procurement software for professional kitchens in hospitality and institutional catering. The acquisition strengthens Everfield’s Food, Hospitality & Leisure vertical and its presence in the German foodservice market.
Founded in 2000, selly operates the selly Foodservice Cloud, a multi-supplier ordering and procurement platform that connects kitchens with their food suppliers. More than 13,500 users in hospitals, senior care homes, daycare centres and company restaurants order through the platform from over 200 wholesalers and manufacturers.
The platform covers ordering, recipe and menu planning, inventory and reporting, supported by a mobile app. It is built on EU-compliant product data, which feeds recipe costing, nutritional values and allergen declarations, and connects to POS, accounting and production systems. Together, its modules cover most of the foodservice procure-to-pay chain, as well as complex kitchen processes.
selly’s long-standing supplier relationships, its neutral position between kitchens and wholesalers, and its depth in food compliance data provide a strong foundation for further growth. As part of Everfield, selly gains access to operational expertise and closer ties with the group’s food and hospitality software companies in the DACH region, including KOST, necta, MatrixPOS and helloTESS!.

Sebastian Holler, Deal Lead at Everfield, said: “selly has built a trusted, independent position between professional kitchens and their suppliers, backed by product data that generic ordering tools cannot match. What Everfield adds is scale: the resources to accelerate selly’s product roadmap, wider commercial reach across the foodservice market, and access to the AI capabilities we are building across our ecosystem. We look forward to working with Eric, Christian and the team on the next chapter.”
Oscar Koberling, Country Manager DACH at Everfield, said: “selly is an important step in building our hospitality ecosystem. Kitchens rely on a whole set of tools to run their operations, and selly’s position between operators and suppliers makes it a natural anchor for connecting them. We are delighted that Eric and Christian will continue to lead the business as we grow this ecosystem together. We look forward to working with the team at selly to continue to build on its strengths.”
Eric von Czapiewski, CEO of selly, added: “For more than 25 years, selly has grown together with its customers and suppliers, building relationships that go far beyond software. For the next stage, we were looking for a partner who understands our market and can help us grow faster. Everfield gives selly a clear path forward. We can invest more in our product and our service and learn from a group that has faced many of the same questions before.”
The selly team, led by CEO Eric von Czapiewski and COO Christian Hänelt, will continue to run the business from Berlin, serving kitchens and suppliers across hospitality and institutional catering.
