Everfield, a long-term investor and growth partner for European B2B software companies, has acquired Strategic Thinking and EVO Software, two Glasgow-based businesses that together provide one of the UK’s most established learning and compliance platforms for care services in the Health & Social Care sector.
Founded in 2013, Strategic Thinking has earned a strong reputation for delivering sector- and region-specific training to care facilities across the UK and Ireland. Its sister company, EVO Software, develops the technology behind their SaaS e-learning solution. Together (commercially as “Strategic Thinking”), they offer a fully integrated learning management system purpose-built for care services.

The platform combines in-house training content, compliance reporting, and clinical governance tools, helping care providers meet local legislation and maintain quality standards. Supplementary modules, such as the Mobile Companion App, provide additional functionality for the carers, such as shift and time-off management. On-site training is available alongside e-learning tools, giving care teams practical, hands-on support for workforce development.
Joining the Everfield ecosystem enables Strategic Thinking to leverage the wider platform on go-to-market activities as well as continue to innovate their learning management system further across the care sector. Wendy Blakely, an experienced clinician and Managing Director of Strategic Thinking, will continue to lead the business through this new phase.
“Strategic Thinking and EVO Software were founded to support care providers with practical, high-quality training and technology that genuinely helps them deliver safe, compliant care. Joining Everfield is an exciting next step for our team. It allows us to build on what we do best, accelerate innovation across our learning platform, and extend our reach — while staying true to our values and our commitment to the care sector,” said Wendy Blakely.
“The team at Strategic Thinking and EVO Software has built a comprehensive e-learning platform that their care services customers love. Their training solutions make a real difference to help care teams reach the required training standards and evidence this to the local regulators,” said James Moore, Country Manager for the UK & Ireland at Everfield. “We value the expertise they bring to Everfield’s Healthcare & Education vertical, and we’re excited to provide the support and resources to help them grow and extend their impact.”
Strategic Thinking joins Everfield’s Healthcare & Education software vertical alongside aequitixx, MediCloud, BlueBridge Technologies, Esemtia, and myKnowledgeMap. This acquisition strengthens Everfield’s position in the UK and Irish software markets and reinforces the company’s commitment to helping mission-critical software companies across Europe accelerate their growth and innovation.
