Most European B2B SaaS founders are asking the same questions right now: How can we apply AI in a safe way? What if competitors or vibe coders move faster? What if tech giants like Microsoft ship this into their core products?

Luis Perez, Everfield's AI Lead, works with ecosystem companies on exactly these questions.

Why AI features often miss the mark

The first mistake Luis sees companies make is building AI features that look good in a demo but don't change anything for the customer. When everything is moving fast, it's easy to get pulled toward whatever looks new. Luis’ consistent advice is to focus on the features that genuinely change how customers work.

Proprietary data beats new features

What Luis keeps telling founders is that Everfield's ecosystem companies have something many new entrants don't: decades of domain expertise, proprietary data, customer relationships, and deep business logic built into the product.

AI gives them a way to put all of that to work faster. The companies that bring their accumulated knowledge into the product through AI will serve customers better than they ever have.

50% productivity gains in developer teams

On the development side, Luis is seeing consistent results. Across the ecosystem, developer teams using AI coding assistants are roughly 50% more productive, and in some applications, the gains are higher.

Modernising legacy codebase with AI

Many of Everfield's ecosystem companies have been operating for decades. Their codebases reflect that.

Luis’s experience is that in some cases, there can be more efficient ways to improve legacy codebases than starting from scratch. He works with our companies on refactoring, documentation, and automated testing, layering AI onto existing codebases to improve them, rather than relying solely on traditional rewrites.

What AI can do for sales and marketing teams

Luis is direct about AI in sales and marketing: using it to draft cold emails is not where the real value is. B2B software remains a human business.

What AI can do is remove the low-value work: generating sales signals, qualifying leads, preparing research briefings before a call. That frees up account executives and account managers to focus on the conversations that actually matter.

What's working in the Everfield ecosystem right now

Trade Interchange has been adding AI into their supplier risk management platform. Clients are using it to make smarter sourcing decisions, and the feedback has been strong.

Vozitel has been building call bots and voice agents for years, and what they're rolling out now shows how far the technology has come. You can interrupt mid-sentence, the responses carry emotion, and there's no latency.

Gstock has been doing similar work on the development side, using coding agents to fix bugs, open pull requests, run tests, and merge branches, all without a developer opening the code editor.

All three are examples of companies in different verticals that have built real expertise in AI and are now sharing what they've learned across the broader Everfield ecosystem.

We're happy to speak with European software companies about AI adoption and explore how Everfield can support their growth.

Luis Perez is an AI Lead at Everfield, where he works with SaaS companies across Europe on AI adoption, product development, and engineering productivity. His focus is on practical implementation, finding where AI actually moves the needle and making it stick.
