ondeso is a leading provider of automated operational technology (OT) management solutions, enabling industrial end-customers to efficiently inventory, manage and secure their OT systems on the shop floor.
Everfield, a long-term investor and growth accelerator for European B2B software companies, has acquired ondeso, a leading provider of OT administration software, offering equipment operators and manufacturers centralised management and enhanced security for their industrial PC landscapes.
The software products empower machine operators and manufacturers to efficiently manage their OT environments, including centralised backups, patch management, and configuration.
By providing a digital toolbox for endpoint management, software deployment, disaster recovery, and OT client automation, ondeso significantly reduces vulnerabilities and strengthens compliance with industry standards, while enabling its customers to streamline operations and improve system reliability.
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Regensburg, Germany, ondeso serves a range of renowned customers in the DACH region, including multinational corporations such as Mercedes Benz Group, Daimler Truck, ThyssenKrupp Steel, Nobilia and Storck.
ondeso will continue to enhance its product capabilities and deliver exceptional support to its long-standing and growing customer base.
The management will remain with the business and COO Peter Lukesch will assume the role of CEO in 2025. As part of the transaction, the existing investors including High-Tech Gründerfonds, Bayern Kapital and several business angels will exit their investment.
"We are thrilled to be joining forces with Everfield," said Peter Lukesch, of ondeso. "Everfield's deep expertise in supporting European software companies is a tremendous asset as we enhance our offerings for existing customers and expand our reach into new markets. We are confident that this collaboration will help us achieve our long-term ambitions alongside our customers."
Co-founder and current CEO of ondeso, Rolf-Dieter Metka adds: “We are proud of the product and customer base we have built at ondeso. Now is the right moment to think about the future of the business and ensure the longevity of our success.”
“Joining Everfield opens up a number of great new opportunities for us and our customers”, says Martin Stemplinger, CTO and co-founder of ondeso. “We remain committed to delivering best-in-class solutions for our customers and maintaining the exceptional quality of our services and support.”
"We are excited to partner with ondeso to support their continued growth," said Henning Schreiber, Head of Acquisitions at Everfield.
"ondeso’s cutting-edge OT management software is critical for machine operators and manufacturers aiming to enhance security and operational efficiency in their industrial environments. We look forward to helping the company build on its strong foundation and meet the growing demand for robust and secure OT solutions. This acquisition also reinforces Everfield’s commitment to expanding our presence in the DACH region, a key market with immense potential."
Everfield operates a decentralised model, where companies maintain their teams, brand, and customer base post-acquisition.
This is the 25th acquisition for Everfield, and its second in the manufacturing software segment, following the acquisition of UK-based FitFactory in 2023.
